Chouchou, the wise young lady (a story of self-care)

It was worth it!
Ok guys, let's try an english version, since I absolutely need to keep working on it and practice as much as I can.

Yesterday, I spend three hours and a half standing in a line outside to buy some plants. Yes buddies, three hours and a half - you can say I am nut but I can't help myself when it comes to those green beauties.
They say "enjoy the journey' and I did, since spending this cold and quality hours with my co-worker (let's call her) Chouchou. It was totally refreshing and overwhelming.

Chouchou is younger than me and yet, wiser. She has that "je ne sais quoi" that makes her really special. A great sense of freedom and integrity.

Talking and digging deeper into what we value and what we expect from life was totally outstanding. As a millennial, this babe knows exactly what she wants and where she wants to go. We totally agree when it comes to work: a simple way to earn money (a girl needs to eat and buy plants). We are not our job, even if, eventually, we can sometimes enjoy the journey and learn through the process.
But still, the fulfilment comes from outside the office, doing what we love during our free time. A.K.A. learning things, taking care of our green friends, going out, eating pancakes and so on.

Two times a week, Chouchou takes Japanese and Portuguese courses. To do so, she leaves the office at 6 PM. She takes care of herself, she takes time for what matters in her life, for what makes her happy.
It sounds so easy to do the same, and yet, I don't have this determination of her. I am basically spending more and more time at work, devoting my energy to a task I was given. And I am not even getting richer.

Suddenly it hit me in the face: I take better care of my job than my health, boyfriend and cat. Isn't it crazy?
Maybe the solution is to follow Chouchou-The-Wise's path.
The thirties coming really fast, I have to stop making excuses and finally manage to create a balanced way of life where I could leave the office earlier to do some yoga / do some meditation / eat proper food / read and write. It would be a shame to be reduced to a job title, we are way more than that.

Lots of love and good vibes <3
